What is Midi Apéritifs?
We make bold, new wave apéritifs with and without ABV. Like fortified wine or vermouth on steroids.
We start off with juicy wines or verjus we carefully selected in France (where the good stuff is made).
This wine or verjus is then fortified with vacuum distillates of mediterranean fruits and herbs and roots.
Think of cassis, bergamot, juicy apricots, rosemary, thyme, Amalfi lemons, lemon verbena,...
Served on ice, mix with tonic, spritz up with prosecco or as base for the finest cocktails
Vacuum distillation-what?
Where others would infuse or macerate their herbs/fruits in the wine, we took things slightly further.
All of our mediterranean fruits and herbs are seperately distilled at low temperature and under pressure. This allows the boiling point to be much lower than traditional distillation. (25-30°C as opposed to >80°C)
By doing this Jules achieves the freshest and most delicate aroma’s of every ingredient.
This is not an easy technique, it is very time consuming but the result does not dissapoint.
Do these apéritifs contain alcohol?
Yes, and no.
Our Classic Red and Liquid Sunset contain alcohol, they are considered "low abv" and fall under the same category as vermouth.
Ruby Rush is our non-alcoholic verjus based apéritif. Served on ice with soda water, elderflower tonic or in a Nogroni
How do I conserve this juice of gods?
We solely use natural ingredients and choose not to use conservatives.
That’s why you should always store your bottles in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight.
Once opened, keep your bottle refrigerated.
Do Midi Apéritifs contain any sugar?
Yes, our apéritifs contain Fairtrade cane sugar.
For Ruby Rush we use agave sugar.
How to serve Midi?
